I'll dominate 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making substantial paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Physical Difference
As the two fighters met for the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
